Horse safari on the trails that Jim Corbett walked & wildlife viewing in Corbett National Park
DAY 01: Take an overnight train from New Delhi and arrive at Kathgodam the next morning. You will be received and transferred to Tiger Camp. Relax and get comfortable. Afternoon safari to the park to look for the fabled Royal Bengal Tiger. Overnight at Tiger Camp.
DAY 02: Early morning and evening Jeep safaris to the park to catch a glimpse of the unique wildlife of the Corbett National Park. Overnight at the lodge.
DAY 03: The horse safari begins at the foothills of the Himalayas – We will be walking in the footsteps of Jim Corbett who used this route regularly. Ride to Sitabani forest rest house. Lunch en route. The beautiful Sitabani would be our base for further excursions.
DAY 04: Ride to Dachauri Forest Rest House. This ride takes us to the heart of the forest where Corbett used to come a lot. He also writes about it in his book “The Temple Tiger”. We’ll spend the night at the forest rest house, soaking up the etheric beauty of Corbett.
DAY 05: Ascend to Pangot, riding up through the hills to a fantastic picturesque location, situated on a saddle, surrounded by the Himalayas. Packed lunch en route. Overnight at Jungle Lore Birding Lodge.
DAY 06: The lodge will serve as our base for today’s excursions. We will ride to Cheena Peak via Kilbury, encountering sights of incomparable beauty. If the skies are clear, you’ll get to see the looming Himalayan chain. Overnight at Jungle Lore.
DAY 07: Early check out – Take an excursion to explore the bustling tourist capital of Nainital. Enjoy boat rides in the Naini lake, shop at the Tibetan Market or just marvel at the inherent beauty of this captivating place. Catch your train to Delhi from Kathgodam after lunch.
