DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 01: Delhi/Dehradun – Corbett National Park
Drive from Delhi or Dehradun, arriving at Tiger Camp by noon for lunch.
Drive onward to Dhangarhi gate for entry to Dhikala tourism zone in a 4WD. Visit the Interpretation Centre. Jeep safari through the stately dense Sal jungle and the wildlife adventure of Corbett park begins. Jeep safari by the lower jungle track along the Ramganga River accompanied by an expert
guide. A great opportunity for viewing wildlife, especially the tiger in its natural habitat. Cross the river at Gethia Rao Bridge for the Kanda Range, where Jim Corbett shot the famous Kanda man- eater. Arrive at the main tourist complex, Dhikala. Lunch and relax a bit in the serene, lingering
quietness of the park and capture the panoramic expanse on your camera. Visit one of the best wildlife libraries of India. You will be given an elephant ride (if available) or an afternoon safari on a track along the periphery
of the core area. An exciting drive through the unforgettable, sylvan beauty of the Khinanauli range offers wildlife viewing in plenty and a chance sighting of the elusive tiger. Return to the tourist complex. Film show on wildlife. Dinner and overnight stay. Please note that the accommodation in
Dhikala is not luxurious.

Day 02: Corbett National Park
If you have not done an elephant ride the previous afternoon, you will be taken on an elephant in the morning (optional and subject to availability) through the open grasslands and dense forests by an unconventional route. Return for breakfast, and then again drive by jeep to the scenic lake area – wait a while for a chance to sight the Marsh Crocodile basking in the sun. Visit the Jhirnajhali area to view the famous Gharial, or Fish-eating Crocodile. After lunch, drive back to Tiger Camp. The drive is a safari in itself. Arrive at Tiger Camp for early dinner. Overnight stay in comfortable cottages/rooms.

Day 03: Corbett National Park – Pangot
Morning safari through the open “chaurs” (grasslands) and mixed forests in Bijrani Range Forest, a safari that would last about 3-4 hours. Return for breakfast. After lunch, you may opt for an elephant ride at Tiger Camp and you will have ample time to study the behaviour of this magnificent and
intelligent mammal. Or you may go bird watching with a guide. Drive to Pangot in the evening through the Himalayan roads (2.5 hours). Overnight at Jungle Lore Birding Lodge.

Day 04: Pangot – Nainital – Delhi
Early morning birding in Pangot. One can see woodpeckers such as Greater Yellownape, Scaly- breasted, Speckled Piculet etc. Large flocks of Slaty-headed Parakeets, numerous Spotted and Oriental Turtle Doves, Grey Bush Chat, Russet Sparrow, cuckoos such as Indian, Oriental, Large Hawk

and Eurasian, Large-billed Crow, Grey Treepie, Black-headed Jay, Maroon Oriole, Large Cuckooshrike, bushtits such as Rufous-naped and Black-throated, and smaller numbers tits such as Yellow-browed, Black-lored and Green-backed. White-tailed Nuthatch, Chestnut bellied Nuthatch and
Bar-tailed Treecreeper are also seen here. Enjoy the Himalayan oak jungles and breath taking views of the snow clad central Himalayan peaks.
Visit the ‘very British’ Nainital town in the afternoon where one can enjoy the British hill architecture, a boat ride in Naini Lake, shopping on the mall road, a cable car ride to the highest point etc. You will be transferred to Kathgodam railway station to connect overnight air-conditioned train at 2030 hours, arriving old Delhi railway station the next morning at 0500 hours. OR drive back to Delhi at noon, arriving in the evening.

Day 05: Delhi – Bandhavgarh National Park
You will be picked up from the station at 0400 hours and transferred to the hotel. Day free to relax. Connect chairstrain for an overnight train journey from Delhi to Bandhavgarh at 1730 hours. Overnight in air-conditioned sleeper class train.
Meals: Breakfast & Lunch at the Hotel, Packed Dinner

Day 06: Bandhavgarh National Park
You will be picked up from the station at 0600 hours and transferred to the hotel (2.5 hours). Afternoon drive in the jungle to enjoy the biodiversity of the park, track tigers and see the unique fauna. Overnight in Monsoon Forest.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner at Bandhavgarh

Day 07 & 08: Bandhavgarh National Park
Two more exciting days in Bandhavgarh to look for tigers. Morning and afternoon drives in the jungle in 4WDs. Overnight stay.

Day 09: Bandhavgarh – Kanha National Park
Morning safari into the Bandharvgarh National Park for tiger tracking. You will be transferred to Kanha National Park (4 hours). Overnight stay in a wildlife lodge.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch in Bandhavgarh, Dinner in Kanha

Day 10: Kanha National Park
Morning and afternoon visits to the park for nature watch and tiger tracking, looking for Indian Bison and hard-ground Swamp Deer in 4WDs. Overnight stay in a wildlife lodge.

Day 11: Kanha National Park – Ranthambhore National Park
Morning safari into Kanha for tiger tracking. You will be transferred to Jabalpur (3 hours). Connect train for an overnight train journey from Jabalpur to Sawai Madhopur at 2030 hours. Overnight in air-conditioned sleeper class train.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Packed Dinner

Day 12: Ranthambore National Park
You will be picked up from the station at 0900 hours and transferred to the hotel (15 minutes). Afternoon drive in the jungle to enjoy the biodiversity of the park, track tigers and see the unique fauna. Overnight in Ranthambhor Heritage Haveli or similar.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner at Ranthambore

Day 13: Ranthambore National Park
Morning and afternoon visits to the park for nature watch and tiger tracking, looking for Leopard and Sloth Bear in 4WDs. Overnight in Ranthambhor Heritage Haveli or similar.

Day 14: Ranthambore National Park – Delhi
You will be transferred to the station to connect train to Delhi. Arrival in Delhi. You will be met and transferred to the hotel or the airport.
